The short version

What Omugisha saves and where

Everything you type into Omugisha, like your name, pay, bills, savings and goals, is saved in your own browser or on your own phone. It isn't sent to us or to anyone else, so we can't see it.

That also means we can't get it back for you. If you clear your browser data or delete the app, your plan is deleted too. You can delete everything yourself any time in Settings by tapping Start over.

If you download a backup, the file is saved wherever you choose. It contains your entire financial plan, including the information you entered into Omugisha. Omugisha does not upload this backup file to our servers. Keep it somewhere private and secure.

Omugisha also saves its own app files on your device so it can open without internet. Those files don't contain anything about you.

What we don't do

What our website host sees

omugisha.com is hosted by Netlify. Like every website host, Netlify automatically receives basic technical details when your device loads the site, such as your IP address, your browser and the pages you open. Netlify uses this to deliver the site and keep it secure. We don't use it to figure out who you are. You can read Netlify's privacy policy.

If you email us

If you write to hello@omugisha.com, we get your email address and whatever you send. We only use it to reply to you. Our domain provider, Porkbun, forwards these emails to our Gmail inbox.

Who Omugisha is for

Omugisha is made for people 18 and older. It isn't meant for children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

If we add features that work differently, like accounts, paid plans or AI answers, we'll update this policy before those features go live and change the date at the top of this page.
